Human AOX1/Aldehyde oxidase ELISA Kit

This sandwich (double antibody) ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human AOX1 (Aldehyde oxidase) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The assay uses an antibody pre-coated onto the wells of a microplate; samples and standards are added, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-conjugated Streptavidin, and a TMB substrate. The resulting colorimetric reaction is read at 450 nm using a microplate reader.

The kit lists a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.625–40 ng/mL, and is supplied with a validated Bradford Reagent for total protein quantification to support sample normalization. Reported linearity values for serum are 86–105% (1:2), 94–100% (1:4) and 87–102% (1:8), with EDTA plasma at 82–97%, 84–93% and 83–100%, and heparin plasma at 84–100%, 87–96% and 90–99% across the same dilutions. Average recovery is 96% in serum, 93% in EDTA plasma and 92% in heparin plasma, with recovery ranges of 86–103%, 89–98% and 86–104% respectively.

The assay is for research use only and components are stored at 2–8°C (12 months) according to the manufacturer, with some reagents also suitable for storage at −20°C. Recommended additional equipment includes a 37°C incubator, a plate reader with a 450 nm filter, precision pipettes and distilled water.
