The Human AO-IgG ELISA Kit from Assay Genie supports the quantitative determination of anti-ovary autoantibodies of the IgG class in human serum and plasma samples. Anti-ovarian IgG has been investigated as a serological marker in studies of autoimmune premature ovarian failure, primary ovarian insufficiency, and broader reproductive autoimmunity panels, where it is often measured alongside steroid-cell antibodies and adrenal autoantibodies to characterize the autoimmune component of ovarian dysfunction. The assay uses human-specific detection reagents with no significant cross-reactivity with rat or mouse IgG, and a sample volume of 50 uL is recommended per duplicate well.

This is an indirect biotin-based immunoassay configured on a microplate. The kit includes pre-coated plate wells, calibrators, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash concentrate, TMB substrate, and stop solution, along with a detailed protocol suited for clinical research laboratories working in fertility, endocrinology, and gynaecological immunology.

For sample handling, serum should be collected under standard venepuncture conditions, separated promptly, and aliquoted before use to limit freeze-thaw cycles. The kit is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic decision-making. Researchers studying unexplained infertility, recurrent IVF failure, or autoimmune polyglandular syndrome will find this assay a useful addition to their autoimmunity workup.
