Human Anti-Teichoic Acid Antibody ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of anti-teichoic acid antibodies in human samples. Teichoic acid is a key component of the cell wall in many gram-positive bacteria, and monitoring antibody levels against it supports research into the immune response to bacterial infections and the development of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

The kit uses a double-antigen sandwich format with colorimetric detection and is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It has a stated sensitivity of 2.813 ng/mL and a measuring range of 4.688–300 ng/mL. The procedure involves a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, followed by 60 minutes with biotin-labeled antigen and 30 minutes with HRP-streptavidin conjugate, with TMB substrate development read at 450 nm.

Validation data show linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions in serum (89–103%, 84–100%, 82–99%), EDTA plasma (86–100%, 84–93%, 86–99%) and heparin plasma (88–102%, 85–94%, 80–100%), with serum recovery of 88–104% (average 97%), EDTA plasma recovery of 85–99% (average 90%) and heparin plasma recovery of 90–102% (average 98%). The kit is stored sealed at 2–8°C and must not be cryopreserved.
