Human Anti-Growth Hormone ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antigen kit for the quantitative detection of anti-growth hormone in human samples. The colorimetric assay is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Reagents should be stored sealed at 2-8°C and must not be cryopreserved. Dilution linearity testing showed, for serum (n=5), recoveries of 86-100% at 1:2, 92-97% at 1:4, and 92-101% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) gave 85-101%, 82-92%, and 86-103% across the same dilutions; heparin plasma (n=5) gave 83-96%, 83-98%, and 82-99%. Spike-and-recovery averages were 95% for serum (n=5), 94% for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 96% for heparin plasma (n=5).

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, addition of a biotin-labeled antigen working solution with a 60-minute incubation at 37°C, an HRP-streptavidin binding step for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
