Human Annexin A6/ANXA6 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Annexin A6 (ANXA6). The assay is applicable to serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.098 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 5.7% (CV) and inter-assay precision is 10.6% (CV). Linearity has been characterised at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery averages 107% (range 101–113%) in serum and 109% (range 103–115%) in plasma. The kit recognises both natural and recombinant human Annexin A6, corresponding to UniProt accession P08133.

Annexin A6 is described as a calcium-dependent membrane and phospholipid-binding protein involved in endocytotic and exocytotic pathways, with proposed roles in endosome aggregation and vesicle fusion. Reported functional annotations include possible association with CD21 and regulation of Ca(2+) release from intracellular stores. The protein has been identified by mass spectrometry in melanosome fractions and is localised to the cytoplasm.
