Human Ankyrin-2 (ANK2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric sandwich-format ELISA is intended to measure levels of human Ankyrin-2 (ANK2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit detects natural and recombinant human Ankyrin-2 (UniProt Q01484). Ankyrin-2 has a key role in stabilising the organisation of membrane proteins and cytoskeletal components in cells, and its dysregulation has been linked to cardiovascular diseases, neurological disorders and muscular dystrophy, supporting its value as a potential biomarker for further studies and therapeutic developments.

According to the manufacturer's data sheet, the kit has a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 41.8pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is given as 7.9% and inter-assay CV as 9.2%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with reported ranges of 107-116%, 87-100%, 84-94% and 111-120% for serum; 110-122%, 91-102%, 90-102% and 107-117% for EDTA plasma; and 104-117%, 96-107%, 81-90% and 93-105% for heparin plasma. Average recovery is 86% (range 80-92%) in serum and 88% (range 82-94%) in plasma.
