Human Angiomotin (AMOT) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format immunoassay from Assay Genie, this kit enables quantitative measurement of Human Angiomotin (AMOT) in human samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Reactivity is reported as human, specificity is reported for natural and recombinant human angiomotin, and the kit is intended for research use only.

Manufacturer data quote a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.34 ng/mL. Reported precision includes an intra-assay CV of 5.7% and an inter-assay CV of 9.6%. Linearity in serum is given as 94–105%, 99–112%, 106–116%, and 106–116% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions respectively (n=5). Recovery in serum averaged 96% (range 90–102%) and in plasma averaged 98% (range 92–104%).

Angiomotin plays a central role in tight junction maintenance via a complex with ARHGAP17 and is implicated in regulating endothelial cell migration and tube formation. The kit is suited to research into cell motility, angiogenesis, and related pathways.
