Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed to measure Angiogenin (ANG) in human samples using a double antibody format. The kit employs a colorimetric detection method and is suited for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL with a quantitative range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Kit components should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Angiogenin is a protein involved in angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels) and cell proliferation, and is associated with research areas including cardiovascular disease, cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders. The protein is also known by the synonyms ANG, Angiogenin, ALS9, HEL168, RNASE4, and RNASE5, with Uniprot accession P03950.

The assay procedure involves reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction read at 450 nm. Reported recovery averages 96% in serum, 95% in EDTA plasma, and 95% in heparin plasma, with linearity ranging from 80% to 104% across the tested sample matrices and dilutions.
