Human ANG 1-7/Angiotensin 1-7 ELISA Kit

A high-quality immunoassay from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Angiotensin 1-7 in human samples. Angiotensin 1-7 is a key component of the renin-angiotensin system, playing a crucial role in regulating blood pressure, cardiovascular health, and kidney function. The kit is intended for research applications in which dysregulation of Angiotensin 1-7 levels is of interest, including studies of hypertension, heart failure, and kidney disorders.

The assay uses a Competitive ELISA format with antigen-coated wells, delivering a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. In linearity testing, serum (n=10) returned 88-97% at 1:2, 81-100% at 1:4, and 85-102% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=10) gave 88-99%, 82-93%, and 85-101% across the same dilutions; heparin plasma (n=10) gave 86-99%, 88-99%, and 90-100%. Recovery averaged 99% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma, and 94% for heparin plasma.

The kit should be stored at 2-8°C (sealed) and must not be cryopreserved. The procedure involves biotin-labeled antibody binding, TMB substrate color development, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
