The Human Amylin PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is built on a competitive immunoassay principle tailored to pharmaceutical research workflows. Amylin, also known as islet amyloid polypeptide or IAPP, is a 37-residue peptide hormone co-secreted with insulin from pancreatic beta cells. Quantitative measurement of circulating amylin supports metabolic disease research, obesity studies, and investigations of type 2 diabetes, where amylin dysregulation contributes to glycemic imbalance.
