Human AMY2/Amylase Alpha 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human AMY2 (Amylase Alpha 2) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. The assay range is 3.125–200 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL. Reported linearity is 86–101% (1:2), 82–96% (1:4) and 90–98% (1:8) in serum (n=5); 88–96%, 84–98% and 81–98% in EDTA plasma (n=5); and 85–103%, 84–91% and 80–94% in heparin plasma (n=5). Spike-and-recovery averages are 94% in serum, 96% in EDTA plasma and 95% in heparin plasma. The procedure includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, 60-minute detection antibody binding, 30-minute SABC binding, and 10–20 minutes of TMB color development in the dark. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The kit targets alpha-amylase, a carbohydrate-digestion enzyme (UniProt P04746).
