Human AMY1/Alpha-amylase ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human AMY1 (Alpha-amylase 1) concentrations in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids, using a double-antibody method with colorimetric detection. Reported analytical performance includes a sensitivity of 0.281ug/ml and a working range of 0.469-30 ug/mL (50U/mg). The kit is supplied for research use only and is stored at 4°C for 6 months.

Spike-and-recovery was assessed in serum (86-103%, average 96%), EDTA plasma (89-101%, average 97%) and UFH plasma (87-103%, average 93%). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 86-105% / 91-98% / 88-98% for serum, 86-101% / 82-99% / 82-99% for EDTA plasma, and 80-97% / 80-95% / 82-98% for UFH plasma. Intra-assay CV is reported as <8% and inter-assay CV as <10%. AMY1 is a monomeric member of the glycosyl hydrolase 13 family (EC 3.2.1.1) that hydrolyses 1,4-alpha-glucoside bonds in oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, catalysing the first step in digestion of dietary starch and glycogen; the human ortholog maps to chromosomal position 1p21 and the protein is secreted to the extracellular space.

The kit is supplied with a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, sample/standard dilution buffer, biotin-labelled antibody with its dilution buffer, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC) with SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, wash buffer, and plate sealers.
