The Amnionless (AMN) protein is a transmembrane component of the cubilin–AMN receptor complex that mediates uptake of cobalamin (vitamin B12) and other ligands in the renal proximal tubule and intestinal epithelium. Loss-of-function variants in AMN are linked to Imerslund–Gräsbeck syndrome, a hereditary megaloblastic anemia caused by defective cobalamin absorption, making quantitative measurement of circulating AMN valuable for research into megaloblastic anemia, proteinuria, and inherited renal tubulopathies.

This colorimetric human AMN ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is configured in a plate-based format covering 96 assays, intended for quantitative work with conditioned media, EDTA-plasma, and serum-derived research specimens in a research use only context. Investigators studying cubilin-mediated endocytosis, inherited cobalamin malabsorption, and renal tubular reabsorption can deploy the kit to profile AMN expression across patient cohorts and cultured cell models. Each kit supports 96 determinations, providing throughput compatible with small-to-mid sized case-control studies in hematology and nephrology laboratories.

Storage and handling guidance should follow the insert accompanying the kit; reconstituted reagents and prepared standard curves are generally kept refrigerated and protected from repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antigen-binding activity. The format enables both qualitative screening and quantitative standard-curve-based analysis when paired with a microplate reader capable of absorbance measurement in the visible range.
