Description

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Aminopeptidase Q (AQPEP) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Built on a double-antibody configuration, the assay targets AQPEP, also known as glutaminyl-peptide cyclotransferase—an enzyme that processes and regulates peptide hormones and neurotransmitters. Dysregulation of AQPEP has been linked to Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, and inflammatory disorders, supporting research into the pathophysiology of these conditions.

Sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL with a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm following TMB-based color development. Reactivity is human, and the kit is stable at 2-8°C for 12 months. Target synonyms include AQPEP, AP-Q, Aminopeptidase Q, LVRN, CHL2 antigen, and Laeverin (UniProt Q6Q4G3).

Linearity in serum spans 85–105% across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions, with EDTA plasma at 84–98% and heparin plasma at 81–99%. Recovery ranges from 93–98% in serum (average 95%), 96–102% in EDTA plasma (average 100%), and 88–103% in heparin plasma (average 96%). The procedure uses a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, with capture and detection incubations performed at 37°C.
