Description

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Aminopeptidase N (also known as CD13), a cell-surface metalloprotease implicated in angiogenesis, immune regulation, and tumour metastasis. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colourimetric detection at 450 nm, and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other biological fluids.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a standard curve range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL, providing the dynamic range needed to detect CD13 across normal and disease-associated expression levels. The target protein corresponds to Uniprot entry P15144 and is referenced under the aliases CD13, AAP, ANPEP, APN, GP150, LAP1, P150 and PEPN. Reagents are shipped on ice packs and stored at 2–8 °C for 12 months, with selected components held at -20 °C for longer-term stability.

Because abnormal CD13 expression has been linked to cancer and inflammatory disorders, this kit is suited to research applications in oncology, immunology and cardiovascular biology. The protocol involves a 90-minute primary incubation at 37 °C, sequential addition of a biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate development in the dark, and a stop reaction prior to absorbance reading. Researchers are advised to run duplicate wells and to perform a pilot experiment when working with novel sample matrices.
