Human Aminolevulinate Delta Dehydratase (ALAD) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie quantitatively measures human δ-aminolevulinic acid dehydratase (ALAD), the cytosolic enzyme that condenses two 5-aminolevulinic acid molecules into porphobilinogen during heme biosynthesis. The kit accepts serum, erythrocyte lysates, and other biological fluids, and is frequently used to assess erythrocyte ALAD activity as a biomarker of cumulative lead exposure, since blood lead suppresses enzyme function. Reconstituted reagents should be stored refrigerated, and the microplate is provided pre-coated with a human-specific capture antibody.
