The Human Aminoadipate Semialdehyde Phosphopantetheinyl Transferase (AASDHPPT) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is built for quantitative measurement of AASDHPPT, the enzyme that transfers the 4'-phosphopantetheinyl moiety from coenzyme A to a serine residue on acyl carrier proteins during mitochondrial fatty acid biosynthesis and lysine degradation. The capture antibody is human-specific, with no significant cross-reactivity observed against rat, mouse, or bovine homologs under standard assay conditions.

Each kit provides a pre-coated microtiter plate, lyophilized standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate solution, and stop reagent. The protocol calls for 50 µL of prepared sample per well, with a total assay time of approximately 3.5 hours. Unopened kits should be stored at 4°C and protected from light; reconstituted reagents are stable for up to 30 days when refrigerated, and standards tolerate limited freeze-thaw cycles if aliquoted upon receipt.

Researchers investigating metabolic disorders, mitochondrial dysfunction, or lysine catabolism will find this Assay Genie kit compatible with standard laboratory plate readers. The full-length recombinant human AASDHPPT used as the calibrator enables direct interpretation of protein abundance in cell lysates and tissue homogenates, supporting applications in biomarker discovery, pathway analysis, and disease mechanism studies.
