This in vitro research-use ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of human SCNN1b, the beta subunit of the amiloride-sensitive epithelial sodium channel (ENaC). ENaC mediates sodium reabsorption across tight epithelia including the renal collecting duct, airway, and distal colon, and SCNN1b is essential for proper channel assembly, trafficking, and gating at the apical membrane. Investigators working on salt-sensitive hypertension, Liddle syndrome, pseudohypoaldosteronism type I, cystic fibrosis-related airway fluid balance, or renal sodium handling can use this kit to quantify SCNN1b protein in tissue homogenates and cell lysates. The assay produces a colorimetric signal read on a standard microplate reader, in a 96-assay format that supports multiple replicates and a full standard curve per run. Each kit contains a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standards, detection antibody, substrate solution, and wash and assay buffers. Intended for research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
