Human Amiloride-sensitive amine oxidase [copper-containing] (ABP1) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of human amiloride-sensitive amine oxidase [copper-containing] (ABP1), this sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is supplied for research use only. The assay accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids and is specific for natural and recombinant human ABP1.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.56 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 9.5%. Linearity has been characterised across serial dilutions for serum (92–115%), EDTA plasma (82–116%) and heparin plasma (83–118%). Recovery is 87–99% in serum and 89–101% in plasma.

ABP1 is a copper-containing amine oxidase encoded by the AOC1 gene (UniProt P19801) that catalyses the degradation of putrescine, histamine, spermine and spermidine, substances involved in allergic and immune responses, cell proliferation, tissue differentiation, tumour formation and possibly apoptosis. The protein is a disulfide-linked homodimer secreted to the extracellular space, with signal transduction identified as the primary research area.
