Human ALS/Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein, Acid Labile Subunit ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay for the quantitative measurement of human ALS (Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein, Acid-Labile Subunit), also referred to as IGFALS. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. ALS is described as a protein that binds insulin-like growth factors and helps regulate their activity and availability, with dysregulation linked to conditions such as diabetes, growth disorders and metabolic disease, making it a useful biomarker in associated research.

Sensitivity is 0.938 ng/mL with an assay range of 1.563–100 ng/mL, and the kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity in serum (n=5) is 86-102% at 1:2, 88-101% at 1:4 and 87-99% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) 83-101%, 80-96% and 82-96%; heparin plasma (n=5) 84-99%, 80-99% and 89-98%. Average recoveries are 99% for serum (range 90-103%), 92% for EDTA plasma (90-102%) and 96% for heparin plasma (86-104%). The colorimetric workflow uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody followed by HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.
