Human Alpha-synuclein (SNCA) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Alpha-synuclein (SNCA) in research samples, making it suitable for neuroscience studies of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and Multiple System Atrophy, where alpha-synuclein is implicated in the formation of Lewy bodies.

The assay has a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 4.6pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 3.7% and inter-assay CV of 6.1%. Linearity has been demonstrated for serum (96-106% at 1:2, 99-109% at 1:4, 87-97% at 1:8, 84-94% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (105-114%, 95-107%, 85-94%, 117-127%), and heparin plasma (83-92%, 89-98%, 85-98%, 97-107%). Recovery averaged 92% (range 86-98%) for serum and 94% (range 88-100%) for plasma.

The kit accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Alpha-synuclein. Synonyms include Non-A beta component of AD amyloid, NACP, and PARK1 (UniProt P37840). For research use only.
