Human Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Intended for research use only, the kit supports studies of AFP as a biomarker of liver health and conditions including hepatocellular carcinoma and liver cirrhosis. Performance specifications include a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 14.6pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Specificity is directed against natural and recombinant human Alpha-fetoprotein. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with research applications focused on cancer.
