Human Alpha-enolase (ENO1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for the accurate detection of human alpha-enolase (ENO1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples. Alpha-enolase is a key enzyme involved in glycolysis and acts as a multifunctional protein in various cellular processes, and has been implicated in numerous diseases including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.7% and inter-assay CV is 7.6%. Linearity in serum (N=5) across dilutions 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 98–108%, 108–117%, 83–93% and 103–114% respectively; in EDTA plasma 88–100%, 92–102%, 106–118% and 97–110%; and in heparin plasma 86–96%, 82–90%, 115–125% and 91–99%. Average recovery was 87% (range 81–93%) in serum and 89% (range 83–95%) in plasma. Specificity is for natural and recombinant human Alpha-enolase.

Alpha-enolase is encoded by the ENO1 gene (UniProt P06733). MBP1 binds to the myc promoter and acts as a transcriptional repressor; it may be a tumour suppressor. Research area: Epigenetics. For research use only.
