Human Alpha-actinin-3/ACTN3 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate and sensitive detection of alpha-actinin-3 (ACTN3) in human samples. The double-antibody sandwich format uses colorimetric detection and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL across a working range of 0.313-20 ng/mL, and the kit is intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Alpha-actinin-3 is a key structural protein found in fast-twitch muscle fibers, where it plays a critical role in muscle contraction and function. Variations in the ACTN3 gene have been linked to athletic performance, muscle strength, and muscle-related disorders, making the protein a valuable biomarker for research in muscle physiology, sports genetics, and muscle-related pathologies. Validation data show linearity of 81-103% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilution ratios of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8. Recovery was 87-105% (average 95%) in serum, 87-104% (average 97%) in EDTA plasma, and 88-105% (average 97%) in heparin plasma.
