Human Alpha-actinin-1 (ACTN1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate detection of alpha-actinin-1 levels in human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It reacts with human alpha-actinin-1 and shows specificity for natural and recombinant forms of the protein. The assay uses a sandwich format with a colorimetric detection method.

The detection range spans 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.6% and inter-assay CV is 7.8%. Recovery is reported as 91% (range 85–97%) for serum and 93% (range 87–99%) for plasma. Linearity has been evaluated for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16.

Alpha-actinin-1 is an F-actin cross-linking protein thought to anchor actin to a variety of intracellular structures and is described as a bundling protein. It plays roles in cell adhesion, cytoskeletal organization, cell migration, and muscle contraction, with dysregulation linked to cancer, muscular dystrophy, and kidney disorders.
