Human Alpha-2-antiplasmin (SERPINF2) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Alpha-2-antiplasmin (SERPINF2). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human analytes.

According to the manufacturer datasheet, the kit has a sensitivity of 0.215 pg/mL and a detection range of 0.9375-60 pg/mL. Reported precision is an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Linearity was characterised in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilution points 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Recovery was reported for serum (average 98%, range 92-104%) and plasma (average 100%, range 94-106%). The kit is intended for research use only.

Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant human Alpha-2-antiplasmin. SERPINF2 is a secreted serine protease inhibitor whose major targets are plasmin and trypsin; it also inactivates matriptase-3/TMPRSS7 and chymotrypsin. The protein plays a part in regulating blood clotting and fibrinolysis, and defects are linked to alpha-2-plasmin inhibitor deficiency (APLID), an autosomal recessive disorder associated with severe hemorrhagic diathesis.
