Human Alpha-1-acid glycoprotein 1 (ORM1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables the quantitative measurement of human Alpha-1-acid glycoprotein-1 (ORM1), an acute-phase plasma protein involved in transport function in the bloodstream and modulation of the immune response during inflammation. It is intended for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and recognises both natural and recombinant forms of the target.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.22ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.9% (Intra CV) and inter-assay precision is 7.9% (Inter CV). Linearity was validated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum (101-111%, 103-112%, 106-116%, 97-105%), EDTA plasma (83-93%, 94-103%, 81-92%, 85-95%) and heparin plasma (87-96%, 111-120%, 97-105%, 103-113%). Recovery averaged 98% in serum (range 92-104%) and 100% in plasma (range 94-106%).

It is a secreted protein belonging to the ORM1-like protein family, within the calycin superfamily and lipocalin family. Research applications fall within the area of immunology.
