Human Alkaline Sphingomyelinase (Alk-Smase) ELISA Kit

This research-use-only immunoassay from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of Alk-SMase, an intestinal sphingomyelin-hydrolyzing enzyme also annotated as ENPP7. Active under alkaline conditions, it converts sphingomyelin into ceramide and phosphocholine, supporting studies of sphingolipid turnover, mucosal inflammation, colon carcinogenesis, and lipid-mediated vascular signaling.

The assay accommodates human serum or plasma, tissue homogenate preparations, and other fluid matrices. Unopened components are stored at 4°C, and the microwell plate should remain sealed with desiccant to preserve antibody binding activity through the stated shelf life.
