Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) is a receptor tyrosine kinase first identified in anaplastic large cell lymphoma and recognized subsequently as a driver alteration in non-small cell lung cancer, neuroblastoma, and inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors. The Assay Genie Human ALK ELISA Kit is a research-use immunoassay intended for quantitative measurement of ALK protein in human serum or plasma specimens, supporting oncology biomarker workflows ranging from cohort screening to longitudinal patient monitoring.

The assay uses a colorimetric readout and ships as a 96 Assays kit, providing sufficient throughput for small pilot studies or paired-sample comparisons. Researchers can apply this kit to investigate ALK expression across disease states, characterize responses to ALK-targeted therapeutics such as crizotinib or alectinib, or profile cell line models engineered to express fusion variants including NPM-ALK and EML4-ALK. Standard laboratory absorbance plate readers are sufficient to capture results, and the kit format allows straightforward integration into existing immunology and translational pipelines.

Beyond direct quantification, the assay can be used to track changes in circulating ALK levels during treatment, to compare expression between tumor subtypes, or to validate findings from immunohistochemistry and molecular profiling studies. Each kit includes the essential reagents needed to run the protocol, and the consumable workflow fits routine bench scheduling without specialized instrumentation.
