This 96-assay ELISA Kit from Assay Genie quantitatively measures human Aldolase B (ALDOB) in research samples. ALDOB is a 364-residue, approximately 39 kDa cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes reversible cleavage of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate into dihydroxyacetone phosphate and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate during glycolysis and gluconeogenesis, with strongest expression in hepatocytes, renal tubular epithelium, and intestinal mucosa.

Each kit is supplied as a complete reagent set, including a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized reference standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate solution, and stop reagent, supporting a full workflow from sample loading to absorbance readout on a standard plate reader. The configuration accommodates serum-derived samples, plasma-derived specimens, and tissue homogenate preparations from human donors.

Mutations in the ALDOB gene underlie hereditary fructose intolerance, while altered circulating enzyme levels have been investigated as a biomarker in acute and chronic liver injury, hepatocellular carcinoma, and selected gastrointestinal cancers. The kit is intended for in vitro research use only and supports biomarker discovery, metabolic disorder research, and pharmaceutical development workflows that require reproducible quantification of human ALDOB across multiple sample matrices.
