Human Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member C1 (AKR1C1) ELISA Kit

Validated performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.089 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.8%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.3%. Linearity in serum ranges from 80-90% at 1:2 dilution to 101-113% at 1:16; EDTA plasma shows 88-117% across the dilution series and heparin plasma 92-115%. Recovery averages 97% in serum (range 91-103%) and 99% in plasma (range 93-105%). Absorbance is read at 450 nm.

AKR1C1 is a 36 kDa cytoplasmic monomeric enzyme (UniProt Q04828) that converts progesterone to its inactive form, 20-alpha-dihydroxyprogesterone, and may play a role in bile acid transport and myelin formation.
