Human Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member B10 (AKR1B10) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member B10 (AKR1B10) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human AKR1B10 and is for research use only.

According to the manufacturer, the detection range is 0.78-50 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.23 ng/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 6.3% and inter-assay CV is 10.3%. Recovery testing gave an average of 108% in serum (range 102-114%) and 110% in plasma (range 104-116%).

AKR1B10 (UniProt O60218) is a member of the aldo/keto reductase superfamily. It acts as an all-trans-retinaldehyde reductase, efficiently reduces aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes, and is less active on hexoses in vitro. The enzyme is highly expressed in adrenal gland, small intestine, and colon, and has been implicated in cancer development and progression, with potential roles in drug resistance and oxidative stress-related conditions.
