Human Aldehyde dehydrogenase family 16 member A1 (ALDH16A1) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of human Aldehyde dehydrogenase family 16 member A1 (ALDH16A1), this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. ALDH16A1 is a member of the aldehyde dehydrogenase superfamily, whose members act on aldehyde substrates using NADP as a cofactor, and dysregulation of ALDH16A1 has been linked in the literature to cancer, liver diseases and metabolic disorders.

The kit uses a colorimetric Sandwich ELISA format with a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.31 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 9.2%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilution ratios of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and spike-recovery averages are 96% (range 90–102%) for serum and 98% (range 92–104%) for plasma. Specificity is stated for natural and recombinant human ALDH16A1, and the kit is for research use only.
