Human Alanine aminotransferase 2 (GPT2) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Alanine aminotransferase 2 (GPT2), also known as ALT2, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and detects both natural and recombinant human GPT2, a mitochondrial alanine transaminase (homodimer, UniProt Q8TD30) that catalyses the reversible transamination between alanine and 2-oxoglutarate to form pyruvate and glutamate. Because abnormal GPT2 levels are associated with liver damage and certain liver diseases, the kit is positioned as a research tool for studies of liver function and related disorders.

The kit delivers a detection range of 1.56-100ng/mL with a stated sensitivity of 0.78ng/mL, and the assay is read on a microplate reader at 450 nm. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 4.4% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity has been validated across serial dilutions (1:2 to 1:16) in serum (80-119%), EDTA plasma (88-117%), and heparin plasma (85-120%). Spike-and-recovery testing shows an average of 99% (range 93-105%) in serum and 101% (range 95-107%) in plasma.
