Human AKR1D1 ELISA Kit (HUFI08001)

The Human AKR1D1 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of Aldo-Keto Reductase Family 1 Member D1, the hepatic enzyme also known as steroid 5β-reductase that catalyzes NADPH-dependent 5β-reduction of Δ4-3-ketosteroids during bile acid biosynthesis from cholesterol. Because AKR1D1 governs conversion of cortisone and related steroid hormone precursors, the kit supports research into cholestatic liver disease, inborn errors of bile acid synthesis, and glucocorticoid clearance pathways. The microplate-based immunoassay is supplied as a complete pack with pre-coated capture antibody strips, lyophilized recombinant human AKR1D1 standards, biotinylated reporter antibody, streptavidin-HRP, wash and dilution buffers, chromogenic substrate, and stop solution. Each well receives 100 μL of prepared standard or specimen, and reagents should be stored refrigerated with working dilutions equilibrated to room temperature before each run. Limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles of reconstituted standards. Performance is validated for use with human serum-type and plasma-type biospecimens in laboratory research use only applications.
