The Human AHCY PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of adenosylhomocysteinase (AHCY), the cytoplasmic enzyme (EC 3.3.1.1) that hydrolyzes S-adenosylhomocysteine (SAH) into adenosine and homocysteine within the methionine cycle.

Each kit supplies pre-coated microplate wells together with calibrated recombinant standards, a biotinylated detection antibody, and streptavidin-HRP reagents sufficient for 96 individual determinations. Reconstituted standard should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw loss, while wash buffer and TMB substrate remain stable for weeks when refrigerated. The procedure is intended for research use only, fitting cleanly into in vitro workflows targeting the SAM/SAH ratio, one-carbon metabolism, liver and kidney tissue lysates, and cultured hepatocyte models relevant to transsulfuration and homocysteine clearance.
