Human AGRP/Agouti-related protein ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Agouti-Related Protein (AGRP) in research samples. The kit employs a double-antibody sandwich format and is reactive with human samples, supporting studies of appetite regulation, energy balance, and melanocortin signaling. Aberrant AGRP levels have been implicated in conditions such as obesity, metabolic disorders, and eating disorders, making the analyte a significant biomarker for these areas of investigation.

Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay provides a detection range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL. Linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions for serum (90-102%, 92-98%, 87-97%), EDTA plasma (87-103%, 86-100%, 81-97%) and heparin plasma (89-104%, 86-100%, 87-93%) using sets of five. Recovery ranges were 89-103% (average 95%) for serum, 88-101% (average 93%) for EDTA plasma, and 89-98% (average 95%) for heparin plasma. The workflow uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate development, and absorbance reading at 450 nm. Components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
