Human AFPL3/Alpha-fetoprotein Lens culinaris agglutiin 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human AFPL3 (Alpha-Fetoprotein-Lens Culinaris Agglutinin-3), a protein associated with cell growth and differentiation. The assay is intended for research use, including investigations of biomarkers for conditions such as liver cancer and fetal abnormalities. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with detection carried out colorimetrically on a pre-coated microplate.

Reported sensitivity is 0.375 ng/mL and the working range is 0.625–40 ng/mL. Linearity (n=5) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 has been demonstrated in serum (85–102%, 90–105%, 88–97%), EDTA plasma (88–101%, 83–100%, 82–94%) and heparin plasma (84–99%, 82–100%, 82–100%). Recovery data show serum 88–103% (average 94%), EDTA plasma 85–98% (average 94%) and heparin plasma 92–101% (average 96%).

Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The workflow includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin binding step, and TMB-based color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, with absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution is added.
