Human Afamin (AFM) ELISA Kit

Designed for quantitative detection of human afamin, this sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a colorimetric method to measure the protein in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human afamin and is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Recovery in serum averages 107% (range 101-113%) and in plasma averages 109% (range 103-115%). Afamin, also referred to as Alpha-albumin, Alpha-Alb, ALB2, and ALBA, is a secreted vitamin E binding protein that may transport vitamin E in body fluids and contribute to its regulation and transport at the blood-brain barrier.
