Human Adropin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format for quantifying adropin in human samples. The assay reaches a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL across a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL, and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples of human origin.

Adropin, also known as ENHO or energy homeostasis-associated protein, is described in the manufacturer's documentation as a recently discovered hormone that plays a key role in regulating energy metabolism and insulin sensitivity, and as a promising target for research in obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. The workflow includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin binding step, TMB color development for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C with a stated shelf life of 12 months.

Reported linearity for serum ranges from 96–105% at a 1:2 dilution to 87–104% at 1:8; EDTA plasma from 86–98% to 86–97%; and heparin plasma from 80–99% to 83–86%. Spike-and-recovery averages are 92% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma, and 97% in heparin plasma.
