The Adrenomedullin Receptor (AMR), also referred to as ADMR or the G182D receptor, is a G-protein coupled receptor that mediates the vasoactive and angiogenic actions of adrenomedullin, a 52-amino-acid peptide implicated in vascular tone regulation, endothelial barrier function, and inflammatory signaling. Quantifying receptor-level expression in research samples requires an antibody pair specific to the human receptor ectodomain, distinct from assays that measure the soluble ligand itself.

This Assay Genie kit provides the reagents needed to detect human AMR in tissue homogenates and cell lysates prepared from cultured lines or primary tissue. The workflow uses a microplate pre-coated with capture antibody; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and a streptavidin-HRP conjugate. Signal is developed with a chromogenic substrate and read on a standard plate reader, with absorbance proportional to receptor concentration in the loaded sample.

Each kit contains sufficient reagents for 96 determinations and is intended for research use only. Investigators studying cardiovascular disease models, sepsis-associated endothelial dysfunction, pulmonary hypertension, tumor angiogenesis, or GPCR signaling pathways commonly apply this assay alongside ligand-level adrenomedullin measurements, allowing receptor-level changes to be distinguished from ligand-level changes in disease states and pharmacological challenge experiments.
