Quantitative measurement of circulating and tissue-derived adrenomedullin (ADM) peptide is supported by a research-use-only microplate ELISA distributed under the Assay Genie brand. Adrenomedullin is a 52-amino acid vasoactive peptide from the calcitonin gene-related peptide superfamily, broadly expressed in adrenal medulla, vascular endothelium, kidney, and lung, where it regulates vasodilation, vascular permeability, and inflammatory responses.

This kit supports translational, animal-model, and cell-based investigations across diverse liquid and tissue-derived sample matrices, including blood-derived fractions, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and conditioned media from in vitro culture work. ADM measurement is widely applied in studies of heart failure, sepsis, hypertension, pulmonary disorders, and solid tumor biology, where elevated or dysregulated circulating levels serve as biomarkers of disease activity or therapeutic response. Each kit includes pre-coated wells, biotinylated detection reagent, standards, and the necessary buffers for a complete assay run.

For optimal reagent stability, unopened components should be refrigerated; opened or reconstituted reagents are commonly kept frozen in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Researchers should consult the supplied protocol for the recommended sample dilution, incubation times, and measurement wavelength to achieve reproducible standard curves across plates.
