Description

A chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) kit from Assay Genie is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human ADRA1A (Adrenergic Receptor alpha-1A) in tissue homogenates. The assay uses a sandwich-CLIA principle, with a pre-coated micro CLIA plate specific to Human ADRA1A, combined with a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. Relative light unit (RLU) values are measured on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer and correlate positively with analyte concentration, allowing sample concentrations to be determined against a standard curve.

Intended for use with human samples, the kit accepts serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a detection range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL, with an assay time of 4.5 hours and a sample volume of 100 µL for tissue homogenates. Reproducibility is described as both intra-CV and inter-CV less than 15%. The kit recognizes Human ADRA1A in samples, with no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human ADRA1A and analogues observed.

ADRA1A is a key player in the adrenergic signaling pathway, regulating processes such as smooth muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release and cardiac function, with dysregulation implicated in hypertension, prostate cancer and heart failure. The kit falls within the Cell Biology research area. Listed synonyms include ADRA1C, ADRA1L1 and ALPHA1AAR. Storage conditions vary by component, with the CLIA plate, reference standard and concentrated antibodies stored at -20°C for 6 months, and diluents and substrate reagents stored at 4°C for 6 months.
