Human ADP/ATP translocase 3 (SLC25A6) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of human ADP/ATP translocase 3 (SLC25A6). The assay is intended for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human ADP/ATP translocase 3.

The assay has a reported detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.045 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.6% CV and inter-assay precision is 8.3% CV. Linearity in serum (n=5) ranged from 98–108% at 1:2, 109–121% at 1:4, 80–92% at 1:8 and 109–119% at 1:16. EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 96–107%, 106–116%, 101–111% and 101–113% across the same dilutions, while heparin plasma (n=5) showed 98–108%, 90–100%, 96–106% and 108–118%. Recovery averaged 108% (range 102–114%) in serum and 110% (range 104–116%) in plasma.

SLC25A6 catalyses the exchange of cytoplasmic ADP with mitochondrial ATP across the mitochondrial inner membrane and may participate in the formation of the permeability transition pore complex (PTPC) involved in apoptosis. The protein localises to the mitochondrion inner membrane as a multi-pass membrane protein, forms homodimers, is found in a complex with ARL2 and ARL2BP, and interacts with influenza A virus PB1-F2 protein and HIV-1 Vpr.
