Human ADM (ADM) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human adrenomedullin (ADM) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric detection method.

The assay demonstrates a sensitivity of 6.90 pg/mL with a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and inter-assay CV of 7.5%. Specificity covers natural and recombinant human ADM. Recovery testing returned an average of 99% in serum (range 93-105%) and 101% in plasma (range 95-107%). Linearity in serum (N=5) was 86-96% at 1:2, 93-102% at 1:4, 94-104% at 1:8 and 106-115% at 1:16 dilutions; EDTA plasma (N=5) gave 80-89%, 85-98%, 86-96% and 99-109% at the same dilutions; heparin plasma (N=5) gave 109-119%, 103-113%, 103-113% and 106-115%.

Adrenomedullin is described as a multifunctional peptide hormone with roles in regulating blood pressure, vascular tone and angiogenesis, and its dysregulation has been implicated in cardiovascular and inflammatory conditions.
