Human Adipsin PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS0232)

Quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie for measuring human adipsin, the adipocyte-secreted serine protease also known as complement factor D. Because adipsin sits at the start of the alternative complement cascade, circulating and adipose-derived concentrations are studied in obesity, type 2 diabetes, and innate immunity research, as well as in adipokine biomarker panels. The reagents are supplied for 96 individual determinations and the procedure is performed on a standard microplate, with a colorimetric endpoint readable on routine laboratory plate readers. Validated for use with cell culture supernatants, heparin or EDTA plasma, or serum collected from human donors, the kit is intended for research use only and supports workflows ranging from mechanistic complement studies to clinical-sample biomarker profiling.
