Human Adiponectin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA format with double-antibody detection, developed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of adiponectin in human samples. The colorimetric readout, using TMB substrate read at 450 nm, supports research into metabolic regulation and insulin sensitivity, with applications in studies of obesity, insulin resistance, and cardiovascular disease.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with storage at 2–8°C for 12 months. Recovery averages 94% in serum (range 86–102%), 99% in EDTA plasma (range 87–103%), and 94% in heparin plasma (range 86–102%). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions spans 83–102% in serum, 80–101% in EDTA plasma, and 85–102% in heparin plasma.

The standard protocol runs a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, followed by 60-minute detection antibody binding, 30-minute HRP-streptavidin binding, and TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes before stop solution is added and absorbance is read at 450 nm. The target adipokine is identified by the synonyms AdipoQ, ADP, Acrp30, GBP28, ACDC, and ADPN (Uniprot Q15848).
