Human Adiponectin (ADIPOQ) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is intended for research use only, enabling quantification of human adiponectin across sample types including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay shows specificity for natural and recombinant human adiponectin (UniProt Q15848), a protein also referred to as apM-1, ACRP30, ACDC, APM1 and GBP28.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.07 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 9.6%. Linearity has been assessed (n=5) across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16 in serum (88-119%), EDTA plasma (87-114%) and heparin plasma (80-111%). Recovery averages 96% in serum (range 90-102%) and 98% in plasma (range 92-104%).

Adiponectin is a secreted adipokine with roles in fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting anti-diabetic, anti-atherogenic and anti-inflammatory activities.
