Human Adenylate cyclase type 1 (ADCY1) ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Adenylate cyclase type 1 (ADCY1). The assay detects natural and recombinant human ADCY1 with a sensitivity of 0.11 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL. Performance is characterised by an intra-assay CV of 3.7% and an inter-assay CV of 7.2%.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reported linearity for serum (n=5) ranges from 102-114% at 1:2 down to 86-95% at 1:16, with EDTA plasma (n=5) at 97-107% to 83-93% and heparin plasma (n=5) at 99-107% to 114-114% across the same dilutions. Recovery averages 98% in serum (range 92-104%) and 100% in plasma (range 94-106%).

ADCY1 is a calmodulin-sensitive adenylyl cyclase that catalyses the formation of the signalling molecule cAMP in response to G-protein signalling and elevated Ca(2+)/calmodulin. The kit supports research in neurosciences, where ADCY1 has been implicated in central nervous system regulatory processes, memory and learning, and the circadian regulation of daytime contrast sensitivity through rhythmic cAMP synthesis in the retina.
