ADCYAP1 encodes pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP), a 38-amino-acid neuropeptide investigated for its roles in migraine pathogenesis, stress-axis activation, circadian entrainment, and neuroprotection. The Assay Genie ELISA kit provides a quantitative absorbance-based immunoassay platform for measuring human ADCYAP1 across blood-derived specimens and tissue homogenate preparations, supporting research into PACAP receptor signaling through the VPAC1, VPAC2, and PAC1 receptors.

Each kit contains reagents sufficient for 96 assays configured in a microplate layout. The protocol runs on standard laboratory ELISA workflows with absorbance readout and is intended for research use only in studies of headache disorders, neuropeptide release dynamics, and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis function.

Typical applications include neuroscience and endocrinology research, cardiovascular investigations, and inflammation modeling. To preserve peptide integrity, aliquot samples prior to storage and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles before running the assay.
